Genesis started life as the heir to a then-prominent Corporation. His childhood was unremarkable; he made almost no contact with other children and rarely left his family's corporate complex. In time, he grew to hate the life into which he had been born. He desired to become one of the few free people in the world—a Raven. At the age of eighteen, when he had control of his own finances, he hired a team of Ravens to assassinate his mother and father and sold his Corporation to the fledgling Murakumo. Using his money, Genesis pieced together the most expensive AC possible. Though some pointed to his wealth as the cause of his success, Genesis also had innate piloting skill. It soon became apparent that he would be a challenge to even the hardened veteran Ravens—if they didn't cut him off before his prime. Hustler One, the highest-ranking Raven, convinced the others in the Top Five to help destroy the unsuspecting Genesis. They sent him a false mission request and lured him far away from the eyes of the Nest. Although he was able to kill two of his opponents, his AC was soon disabled. Hustler One prevented the others from killing Genesis, instead killing them. Genesis, amazed, was offered two choices: he could become the most powerful Raven in the world, and become the “chosen” for Hustler One's plans, or he could be disposed of. Hustler One knew that, deep in his heart, Genesis was driven by extreme greed and hatred. Genesis took very little time to come to his decision: to gain as much power as possible and to become the “messiah” that Hustler One promised he would be. Thus his gradual enhancement began, Genesis hid his thoughts well for the initial years of his change. He met a skilled young pilot named Alpha. Hustler One warned Genesis about him—while he could be a powerful ally, Alpha could also pose the greatest threat to the Order of the Human Plus. Genesis wished Alpha to be turned into a follower, so instead of killing him, he let their “friendship” grow. However, Genesis did no know that despite his Plus enhancements, he would only be an even match to Alpha. Over time, Genesis realized this and, driven by his lust for power, he sped up the enhancement process. Even as Genesis' skill grew artificially, Alpha's grew naturally. Genesis was no longer able to hide his contempt for Alpha. The two grew apart until Genesis decided to make an attempt at converting Alpha—or at killing him. He took Alpha on a false mission and told him the twisted lies he had absorbed over the years. When Alpha refused to join, Genesis attacked him. Alpha disabled him after a twelve-hour battle and left him for dead. However, Genesis survived: he was rescued by Hustler One's robotic forces. Genesis went into hiding and slowly built up the cult of the Human Plus. Once its ranks grew enough and his own enhancement was complete, Genesis led his forces against humanity. Ultimately, he failed. |
